48 hours in Italy!

Italy is SO beautiful!  I am typing this with the most gorgeous view of the mountains in front of me.  Things are very, very different here...yet we really think we are gonna love it!  The boys have adjusted so well.  Mason and Bradey really didn't suffer any jetlag and have slept and gotten up at "normal" times.  We are so thankful for that.  Mac has had more trouble getting use to the 6 hour time difference but he even seems to be doing better.  We have met some families here that have been very helpful and we have even been loaned a car.  Tonight we went and looked at our first potential house.  It was in a town that completely fullfilled the stereotypical Italian village.  It was a nice home but too far from the base for Tim's daily commute.  Please continue to pray for our adjustment and for our house hunting.  We really appreciate all the prayers and emails we have gotten from you all.

On Our Way!

Well after a rather rough start we are on our way to Italy!  The flights yesterday to Baltimore (where we will take a military flight into Aviano) were really chaotic.  We almost had to leave our dog Sarge behind.  We had re-routed flights through D.C. and were picked up by some dear friends at Reagan Intl Airport.  Thank you Pastor Counterman and JoEllen!!!  We met up with my mom and sister Hannah at the hotel and have enjoyed the day with them.  It has been a short visit but so wonderful to have even a quick visit with them.  This was Hannah's first time to meet Mac!  We leave in hours...please keep us in your prayers as we have many hours in a plane ahead of us.  I will have lots of pictures to share soon.

Italy Update

Well, It's finally almost here!  We leave in just days for Italy.  Our whole house is packed, crated, and on its way.  We are in temporary housing on the base until we leave.  We will port out of Baltimore on a Military flight...a VERY long flight.  Please pray for Mac, he has ear infections and a terrible cough that we are trying to knock before we fly.  We are praying that he is healed completely before departure.  Thank you all for your prayers as we head out on this adventure.  We are VERY, VERY excited to move to Europe, but are extremely sad to say goodbye to so many dear friends here in Texas!  We will keep you posted of our travels!  Ciao!

Brothers

Bradey's B'day

Today we celebrated Bradey's 7th Birthday (early).  His birthday is just days after we arrive in Italy when we will be facing many changes, adjustments, and jet lag! We decided to have a party for him prior to leaving Texas...this was Bradey's first Birthday Party.  We invited all his friends from the neighborhood and church to join us for a playtime at the park near our house.  Bradey always asks for donuts on his birthday, so we did brunch snacks--donut holes, fruit, yogurt tubes, and juice boxes.  The kids all dressed up in their favorite costumes.  We all had a blast!  It was simple but so much fun for the kids.  We even did balloon animals! We had a HUGE turnout (30 kids, 18 adults), so the park was a perfect place! It was 75 degrees and sunny today too!

Bradey entered the party in style!

We had about 5 "Spidey" suits at the park today.

Mr. Tim B. was the designated tire swing pusher...the kids lined up for a ride!

                                                          Lots of Moms!

The girls goin' for a ride. (Mason got this car for his 1st birthday!)  :0)
